The horses are turned out daily unless it is really windy, cold, or muddy. We do not accept stallions or horses with rear shoes. Below is some information directly from the Ohio Department Of Agriculture Weights & Measures website, related to selling firewood. For your protection, be sure to read it completely, especially the section on units of measure. You may also want to read up on the ban of transporting hardwood firewood in certain Ohio counties, including Portage County. http://www.ohioagriculture.gov/eab/plnt-eab-regulations.stm Before Ohio consumers prepare to settle in next to a cozy fire this winter, they should prepare to save money and headaches by following basic wood buying tips -- including purchasing unit, moisture content and pests -- from the Ohio Department of Agriculture. “Consumers should be sure they buy from a well-known and reliable dealer to avoid over-paying for wood,” warned Ohio Agriculture Director Fred L. Dailey. “Ohio law mandates that non-packaged firewood must be sold by the cord, or by fractions of a cord.” Bulk firewood can also be purchased by weight, in ton measurements, if it is weighed on a certified scale. Any other unit of measurement, such as rick, rack, face cord, or truckload, is prohibited by law. “Truckload” portions vary from dealer to dealer and can be misleading to consumers, who often buy wood in order to cut their heating bills. Consumers can avoid ambiguous measurements by purchasing wood by the cord, half-cord, or quarter-cord. A cord is 128 cubic feet. When a cord is properly stacked, it should be at least as large as a stack that is eight feet long by four feet high and four feet wide. When making the stack, the wood pieces must be placed parallel to each other in a compact manner. Consumers should contact the seller immediately if they do not receive the quantity purchased. Buyers should understand basic firewood terms and rules to make sure the product meets what is being touted. If firewood is sold as “seasoned,” then it must have moisture content lower than 50 percent. Unseasoned wood produces only two-thirds of the heat of seasoned wood. In addition, if a seller claims the wood is a specific type, the delivered load must contain at least 90 percent of that species. “Firewood sellers must provide buyers with a sales invoice with the name and address of the vendor and purchaser, delivery date, cord or weight price, amount delivered and total cost,” said Dailey. “And consumers should always keep firewood receipts for their records.” Before moving firewood this winter, homeowners and campers also should be aware of Emerald Ash Borer, an exotic insect pest from Asia, and the department's resulting regulated areas in northwest Ohio. The devastating bug, which can be inadvertently spread through infested ash firewood, is a threat to Ohio's ash trees. Currently, regulated areas include Hicksville Township in Defiance County and the area formed by Lucas County northwest of the Maumee River, Fulton County east of State Route 109, and Henry County east of State Route 109 and north of the Maumee River. A similar ban also restricts the movement of ash materials, including ash firewood, from Michigan into Ohio. It is illegal to move ash firewood from these regulated areas. To check on the regulations before moving firewood, call 888-OHIO-EAB or go to www.ohioagriculture.gov/eab . The agriculture department and 92 local weights and measures jurisdictions are responsible for enforcing Ohio's laws regulating firewood sales. If there is a problem with a firewood sale, and the seller will not correct the problem, contact the department's Division of Weights and Measures at 1-800-282-1955. A pamphlet titled How to Avoid Getting Burned When Buying Firewood is also available free of charge by calling the same toll-free number.

Akroncanton - Dixon ZTR Riding Mower - $750

This is a Dixon ZTR Riding mower-3000 series. It was orignally purchased on 3-14-97. The model number is 3303. It has a 30 inch cut. The motor is Briggs&Stratton and is 10 hp. It comes with a 2 bag rear bagger. Where the chute connects to the mowing deck there was some damage by the previous owner so they put some tape over it. The bagger still works with no problems-it's more of a cosmetic problem. One of the pictures shows a close up of this. I also have the owners manual. I bought this last spring and have had no problems at all with it. I have 2 acres that I mowed with it and it took around 2.5-3 hours to mow. I've just decided to hire a lawn service next yr.

This is a Encore 48" belt drive mower with a Trac-Vac vacuum system on it. The system consists of a %HP B+S with impeller that sucks the leaves and grass out of the end of the mower deck and then they go though the impeller and get beaten even smaller and shot up into a 44 gallon cantainer on top of the mower deck. The whole vac system can be put on and off in a matter of ceconds just by pilling a few pins. so if you just want to use the fast zero turn mower for the summer and than put on the vac for the fall leaf season that is easy to do with this set up.
